Cabbage soup diet recipes are not tricky at all. Cabbage soup is a filling, but low calorie dish that's cheap and easy to make. That's really one of the keys to the success of the cabbage soup diet. You can eat all the soup you want and you stay full, not starved. There's more to the diet than just the soup, but the soup is a key part.
See you can make the soup pretty well any way you like. Making soup is really an art form. Take what you have and blend it your way. But having a recipe to follow makes it super simple. The following recipe is just an example. Interestingly enough, the cabbage soup diet is also called the military soup diet. Who knows why?
The Military Diet Cabbage Soup
1 large head cabbage
1 large bunch celery
2 bunches green onions
1 large can whole tomato
2 cans of chicken broth (13 oz)
3 large bell peppers
salt and pepper to taste
Clean all the vegetables, slice, chop and add in to a large pot. Add whole tomato, chicken broth and then cook on low heat for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
The cabbage soup diet works because it gives you plenty to eat, but it's very calorie restricted. Nobody should or could eat like this long-term. But it's a quick way to see some real weight loss. Only by combining this plan with a long-term weight loss plan will you keep the weight off. But that's the way to go. Drop some pounds fast using the cabbage soup diet recipes, then switch to a better long-term diet.
Another plus is the plan and all the recipes are free. There's nothing special to buy. It's cheap.
